Here are the latest hand stitched goodies I've been working on. I've created an art doll with lots of embroidery and a variety of ornies using altered fabric prints of my original paintings. You can find more on these stitched goodies now on etsy. It's been awhile since I've shared a slideshow, so below are the photos of my creations. Enjoy!
This is the time of year when I enjoy stitching the most and I try to keep up with my creative to do list as much as possible. Time goes by so fast and it can be difficult to keep up, especially when you get inspired with new ideas out of nowhere. Sending you all *C*R*E*A*T*I*V*E* *V*I*B*E*S*! :)
Here are more of my Kindred Cuties from Batch 1. From left to right, meet #3 Celeste, #4 Diana Barry & #5 Emma. They were all painted & created on ACEO's (Art Cards, Editions & Originals), which are 2.5" X 3.5" on chipboard.

Also, Thank you Janine of
Over a year ago now, I was bitten by the Twilight Saga. I had read the books only after watching "Twilight" in the theater. I became instantly captured by the love story written by Stephenie Meyer.
I absolutely fell in love with Edward and Bella's story. The hubby surely knew this as well and he surprised me with a couple of the audiobooks last Christmas. Listening to the books this way made their story even more special for me. I sketched Edward on canvas around the same time last year and decided to paint him up just last night in honor of the movie "New Moon" coming out today. I made sure to paint him while I listened to "New Moon" on audiobook to help inspire me even more. You can tell from the photo above that I initially had other plans for how his hair should be.
As for now, Edward is still a work in progress. I also still plan to paint Bella as soon as possible too. You can tell from the photo below that Edward yearns for Bella to complete him as well.
Have a wonderful weekend! :)
Here is my new series collection, "Kindred Cuties". Inspired for my love of "Anne of Green Gables" by L.M. Montgomery and also richly inspired by all the magical friendships I have made here in blogland. You are all "Kindred Cuties" in my book. Thanks so much for blessing me with your friendships and following me on this creative journey!

Last month I shared one of my submissions for Somerset Studio The Art of Paper and Mixed Media
Just in case you didn't know, the submission request was for an "Alice in Wonderland Theme" due out in the March/April 2010 issue. And since the much anticipated movie from Tim Burton is also coming out, they asked us to "feel free to interpret Alice through Tim Burton's eyes".
And to finish off our third collaboration idea, we were surely inspired as well by Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa aka La Gioconda, hence was created...
